Unit One

 Hello! Here is all of my work from unit one on display. This includes imaginative writing pieces to my college essay. Enjoy! 

My College Essay is about my struggles with OCD and how I accidentally joined an Unified basketball program.  This is one of my favorite pieces that I have written, and recommend that you give it a read. 

The next piece I wrote was a free write about the idea of a single story. I wrote about the idea that every person has a single story about them. I also wrote about that the black community faces. I think this is a very informative and eye-opening piece. 

The last big piece I wrote was a unit one culminating project. I wrote this piece on the injustices the black community faces regarding literacy. This piece is filled with valuable information not only regarding the idea of literacy but also including how literacy affects different groups of people in different ways.

      Everything that we encounter in life is a learning experience. Whether it be an obstacle we must overcome or a moment of gratitude. That is why it is so important to take a moment to slow down and reflect on our past experiences, take what we learned, and apply to the future.
